I didn’t think I’d get this addicted to a Gaia-esque social networking site. I just had to prove myself wrong. The site is like Gaia and Cyworld mixed into one. You start with an avatar called a “Selfy” which you can dress up. Your Selfy also has a room that it can hang out at with friends. You can also furnish that room. Furnishings and clothing require Chibi Coins which you can get by going around the community and doing some activities. For example, logging in can get you 5 coins per day, participating in polls can get you 20 coins, etc.

It’s pretty awesome. 3: You get 300 coins for signing up, and if you sign up under a referral, you get 200 more coins. 500 coins is enough to get you a full outfit and some furniture.

What also makes them captivating is that they have so much events going on at one time. They also have pets. Which I want and I will obtain eventually.

So I compel you to join me. Kinda. :c

I’m proud to say that I have gone a full week without getting any bruises! Yay! The big one on my right knee is healing very slowly though. It’s the one I got for banging into the table leg repeatedly while painting. My knee was probably trying to get retribution against the table leg, but it’s so dumb that it hurt itself twice.

That’s probably the reason why it’s the bloodiest bruise of all. It bled under the skin so much that I was afraid I might have torn a vein or something. D: It was so bright red until two days ago. It’s healing now, though. The blood is draining (hopefully). But the bump is still there. Hm.. when I look at this bruise at an angle, it looks like a red Pacman. Haha. Is this normal? It’s like getting cuts in the shape of a smile. I remember Mother used to tell me my cuts are smiling at me every time I get them.

Anyway. I hope this goes away soon.

Tonight’s preoccupation is the song Half Life by Imogen Heap.

This half life focuses more on the literal meaning than the one involving isotopes and radioactivity. The meaning of which revolves around a person feeling like her life is incomplete because of an attachment to another person whom she can never be with, or ever have at all as a whole for, quite unfortunately, he doesn’t give her the time of day. Her sad devotion is near-blind that she doesn’t care that she knows about his infidelity. She is very, very aware of this, and [no matter how much she tries] she can’t let him go completely even when he eventually leaves.

Or dies.

The dramatic interpretation of the last verse is interesting.

long for one last showdown from a box in a crowd
air compressed tight to explode
i’m clenching my ticket to the only way out
as you disappear in a puff of smoke

I like to think that just as she plans to leave him, he preempts her move by dying. Or leaving first.

Bastard.

I love Immi. <3

My mind is in a jumble right now. While part of it is on plans for the new site design, another is on the bag of Twix sitting on the kitchen counter, and yet another is on whipping out the pretty art paper and folding small paper boats to float in the toilet bowl just for fun.

Instead, I shall write down a list of… things. While eating Twix.

Nevermind that. I formed sentences from songs I listened to while shuffling my iTunes library: I’ll never get over you getting over me. More than this: we suck, Pat McGee is better. On the way, whisper always on your side out of my head set adrift on memory bliss. Lady, it’s good to be in love.

I’d say that makes perfect sense.

It’s thanks to searching desperately that I have found and read the whole Night World series after ten years of doing nothing about it. Well.. the whole of it so far. LJ Smith is taking her sweet, sweet time with the very last of the books, Strange Fate, saying that it will “hopefully” be out in winter of 2010.

Considering how the plot of the series has steered to the end of the world, I suppose she has had trouble writing the last book since the world didn’t really end at the year 2000. Then again, there’s still 2012. How creepy.

But still. Eleven years since the last book…!!! Eleven years waiting for closure with this teens book. >o>!

Communication does not come naturally to every animal. I speak in the very general sense because like humans, animals can also have trouble getting their ideas across.

That is why things die, or that is why people get into accidents, or that is why the American government is going crazy.

My psycho professor once mentioned to his class that communication was like a tennis match, or ping-pong. If you serve a ball, you’re expected to get it back. But what if there was nobody on the other side? Or what if that someone didn’t want to hit it back?

It was an easy answer, but my prof had to point it out to his class. Stop serving. What was the point of losing all your balls when you’re not getting them back?

But that also doesn’t mean you stop at the first serve, does it? If you do, that makes you an even dumber person.

Would it?

But of course, humans are stupid creatures. They can’t strictly abide by that notion, no matter how hard they force themselves to. They can surely train themselves to do it, absolutely. But in the end…

…in the end they’re still human.

Something is bound to go wrong, something is bound to make them break it.

And what of the other side of that tennis court? Does the lack of response mean disinterest, or does it say, “Try again”? How many tries would they want?

How many balls would you have?
