“I think the outcome would be very healthy for California and California’s economy.”
Hidden Meaning: Use of Marijuana: Bad Health: Cancer: Medication: Marijuana Bills: Hospital Bills: More Bills.
What the hell? I am open minded about Marijuana use in hospitals, but for recreational use?
Just shows you how corrupted our world is becoming. Money is more important now. Ugh. = =’

I believe it was a great idea. It will help the economy and people are way too close-minded to it. Now, I’m no pothead, but I am still very understanding about what marijuana does. If you’re worried about cancer, cigarettes (which have been legal since forever) will cause cancer much sooner and much more often than marijuana. As a side fact, marijuana reduces the risk of cancer as it cleans out the dead cells and only the dead ones that clutter your body.
I think it’s more of an evolution in law where finally, something that’s not that bad, is legalized. DUI from marijuana? That does happen but it doesn’t damage your senses nearly as much as alcohol does and for the most part, when people smoke, they generally just don’t want to move.
The people who get jailed for marijuana barely have a negative impact on the community. The second-hand pot smoke won’t even have a recordable impact on you unless you just breathe it in 24-7. And also, I’m tired of my taxes going to pay for putting potheads in prison. I’d rather put those white-collar criminals who steal billions and billions of dollars from the US people behind bars. But they don’t go behind bars because they’ve got the monies.

I understand your point, but I still think legalizing marijuana for recreational use is putting a huge risk in, say, the working force.
Potheads would rather sit and relax and think of pretty colors all day, which means that productivity would certainly go down. Let’s say if 70% of working Americans use marijuana, wouldn’t that greatly affect their jobs?
And a great many Americans already suffer from morbid obesity. What about the munchies?
All I’m saying is, this is a recipe for disaster in a very overindulgent country like the US. This law, if passed, will only be abused to no end.
